Europa League: when will the final between Bayer Leverkusen and Atalanta Bergamo take place?

A once again stunning Bayer Leverkusen took their revenge against AS Roma. Eliminated by these same Romans at the same stage of the competition last season, Xabi Alonso’s men were able to equalize at two goals everywhere this Thursday evening after having been led for a long time by one then two penalties from Leandro Paredes. But this season, Leverkusen does not know how to lose and thanks to this draw, qualifies for its first European final since that of the Champions League in 2002.

Opposite, Bayer will meet Atalanta Bergamo, clear winner of Olympique de Marseille (3-0) in the return match, thanks to goals from Lookman, Ruggeri and Touré. A victory which allows the Italians to easily win on aggregate, having conceded a draw (1-1) in the first leg in Marseille. On May 22 in Dublin, it will play the first European final in its history.

Furthermore, the team that wins at the Dublin Arena will automatically qualify for the 2024-2025 Champions League and will face the winner of the Champions League in the UEFA Super Cup on August 14.
