The trigger: HSV feels provoked by their local rivals. During the warm-up, the Paulians sprinted into the hosts’ half and disrupted the HSV reserves in the district game. Boldt at Sky: “The warm-up shifted to our half. We already had that in the first leg. It was a coincidence then and it is probably the same today. We politely pointed out to them that they should do this on their own half.”

Background: The Pauli professionals had already come into the HSV half during the warm-up in the first leg (2:2). At the time it was explained that it was a mistake.

This time no one believed it. That’s why there was a stink…

St. Pauli coach Fabian Hürzeler didn’t see it all as dramatic: “As long as everything stays within limits, it’s totally fine. I believe that everything will be fair in the game and hope that everything remains peaceful in the stands.”

Hot atmosphere in the stands too. A lot of pyrotechnics were ignited in both blocks during the second division hit.
