Defending champion Vegas Golden Knights have to bury their hopes of winning the Stanley Cup again in the National Hpckey League (NHL) after the first play-off round. The Golden Knights lost the decisive seventh game at the Dallas Stars on Sunday evening 1:2 and had to admit defeat 3:4 in the “best of seven” series.

Radek Faksa scored the decisive goal for the Texans shortly after the start of the final third. The New York Rangers and the Carolina Hurricanes are already one step further, playing the first game of their quarterfinal duel on Sunday. At Madison Square Garden, the Rangers won 4-3 and took a 1-0 lead in the series.
