VfL Bochum vs. Fortuna Düsseldorf: Does the away goals rule apply in the Bundesliga relegation?
If the score is still tied after the first and second leg between Bochum and Düsseldorf, it makes no difference which team scored more away goals. This rule no longer exists in Germany either. Instead, if the score is tied in the second leg, extra time is played first. And if there is still no winner after the two 15-minute periods, a penalty shootout is used.
