Detroit continues its search for the top basketball operations manager

Detroit Pistons at work and looking for a new President of Basketball Operations for next season. The first name on the notebook, should he exit his contract with the Minnesota Timberwolves at the end of the season, is Tim Connelly according to Marc Stein.

Connelly is currently in the second year of a five-year contract. There would also be interest in Dennis Lindsey, currently a consultant for the Dallas Mavericks, and in ESPN analyst JJ Redick, who however is also followed by the Charlotte Hornets for the bench left vacant by Steve Clifford. The new President of Basketball Operations, reports Stein, will decide the future of GM Troy Weaver.
