Played over the weekend (Friday and Saturday), this eighth day marks the start of the return leg of the championship, and saw the men of Stade Malien maintain their invincibility in eight matches while for the ladies, AS Real took advantage of the DAC’s defeat at Koulikoro to position themselves in the lead. For all the results of the day, among the men the AS Police who were opposed to the soldiers of the USFAS, Friday, fell (56-60). On Saturday, AS Real finally managed to record its first victory against Commune I (59 – 53); Sigui de Kayes took over CRBT (52 – 41) and Stade Malien won (78 – 70) against Attar. On the women’s side, Friday, as with the men, AS Police fell to USFAS (65-72) and AS Real scored its 7th victory in eight games against AS Mandé (88 – 68) . On Saturday in the other two matches, the KSC lost (71-94) while the CBD won (63 – 49) against the DAC.

In the standings, it is Stade Malien de Bamako (16 points) which dominates among the men ahead of USAFS (14 points), AS Police (14 points) and Attar (14 points) while AS Real and AS Commune I (9 points each) occupy the last two places. Among the ladies, taking advantage of the defeat of the DAC, AS Real (15 points) now occupies the leader’s chair alone. The Scorpions are followed by the DAC and the Stade (14 points each) and the USFAS (11 points). In relegation position are AS Mandé and KSC with 10 units each. As for the 9th day, it is scheduled for May 9 and 10 and all the matches of the day are scheduled at the Palais des Sports in the Salamatou Maiga room.
