CSC Judo Teachers Attend Training Weekend with International Champion

CSC judo teachers Nadia Fischer and Didier Thomas took part in a weekend that they described as fantastic, at the Contrexéville sports complex, on May 4 and 5.

It was led by the international Frédéric Demontfaucon, 7th dan, bronze medalist at the Sydney Games in 2000 and world middleweight champion in Munich the following year. He is also responsible for the Excellence Project at France Judo, which he describes as follows: “Its ambition is to promote behavior and quality of practice, based on the study and dissemination of knowledge, with a constant concern for excellence, understood as a requirement towards oneself, from beginner to expert as well as a permanent aspiration to optimize one’s qualities. This project is based on mutual aid and mutual prosperity through the application of these principles through randori, an essential tool of judoka. »

During the two days, the trainees worked on the principles, fundamentals, French progression and teaching of the nage-wasa projection technique. They also studied and practiced the katame waza mastery technique and saw its teaching principles.

Attack and defense systems and training processes were also on the program for these two days. The Judo club and Chalindrey will soon have the chance to benefit from the experience acquired by Nadia Fischer and Didier Thomas who will not fail to share their new knowledge.
