Tony Parker, the president of ASVEL, has already contacted him to try to form a very friendly outside line with Nando de Colo and Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot. Olympiakos, semi-finalist of the 2024 edition of the EuroLeague, would also be interested. The rear would thus join Moustapha Fall in Greece.
The news seems surprising as we know what Evan Fournier is still capable of. At 31, he can still bring his solid scoring skills to an NBA team, and his good years in the Big League don’t go back that far. He was still averaging 14 points per game during the 2021-22 season, during which he even broke John Starks’ record for the most 3-pointers scored by a Knicks player in a season (since broken by Donte DiVincenzo).
But the Frenchman is still coming out of two very complicated seasons. Shelved by Tom Thibodeau for nearly 18 months, his end of the 2023-24 season with the Detroit Pistons did not really reassure. Lacking pace, he had difficulty demonstrating all his qualities and his rating has not really improved.

Still, with a lower contract than the one he had in recent years, it is possible to believe in a resurgence of the rear, like Nicolas Batum at the Los Angeles Clippers after the end of his adventure with the Charlotte Hornets.
