Concussion without after-effects for Jeff Reine-Adélaïde

Jeff Reine-Adélaïde spent the night under observation after the head impact he suffered during the match between his club, Molenbeek, and Charleroi on Saturday evening.

As his entourage indicated to the Team late in the evening, the exams taken by the former Angers and OL player were reassuring, which the main person confirmed on his Instagram account. “Thank you for your messages of support, more fear than harm,” he posted in his story on Saturday night.

Reine-Adélaïde suffers from a concussion but her state of health no longer causes any concern and the fear of possible after-effects has been ruled out. The midfielder (26 years old) remained unconscious for around ten minutes on the pitch after taking a ball to the head at the end of the first period, before being evacuated with a bloody face on a stretcher. His coach Yannick Ferreira feared the worst after the match: “We fear a brain hemorrhage. But we cannot yet estimate the severity of his head injury. We won’t see him on the pitch again this season but above all we hope that everything goes well for him.” The Molenbeek club should communicate on his state of health during the day.
