Four gold, two silver and seven bronze. Conca d’Oro Ssd, a Palermo company of the Oxygen group, affiliated with Endas Sicilia, collects medals at the Italian Fisdir judo championship and managed to obtain second place in the team ranking, behind the CM Fight Academy of Francavilla al Mare (Chieti) and ahead of the Judo Center of Parma.
Sixteen clubs and 76 athletes with intellectual-relational disabilities took part in the matches on Sunday 12 May on the tatami of the PalaBarton in Perugia, where the Italian A2 Fijlkam championship was held at the same time. A day of satisfaction and celebration for the delegation of Palermo technicians present in Umbria composed of Franco Bondì, Giosuè Giglio, Rosolino Giglio, Piero Miranda, Vincenzo Dolce and Ilenia Leto, accompanied by Germano Bondì, president of Endas Sicilia.
“Endas has always been close to the Paralympic world, in particular to Fisdir and Conca d’Oro Ssd (Oxygen). The company was founded by master Franco Bondì, sixth dan in judo, affiliated with both Endas and Fisdir, and constantly carries out paralympic activities in various amateur sports in the area”, declares the president of Endas.
“The title of vice-champion of Italy – adds Germano Bondì – confirms the important growth of the athletes both from a technical point of view but above all from a mental point of view. The judokas approached the competition with extraordinary determination and with the inevitable fair play.”
Also for Giosuè Giglio, who in addition to being part of the Conca d’Oro Ssd, is the national coach and manager of the Southern Italy Fisdir judo sector “the technical level of competitive athletes has improved a lot in recent yearsI was also struck by several young athletes belonging to some clubs in their first year of affiliation.”
