Cleveland Cavaliers Face Setback in NBA Playoffs as Star Player Donovan Mitchell Sidelined

Led 2-1 by the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference semi-finals, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be a little more diminished. According to ESPN, they will not be able to count on their star player Donovan Mitchell (27), injured in the left calf, during match 4 which will be played in Cleveland, on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

Injured and released at the end of Game 3, Mitchell averaged 29.6 points, 5.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists since the start of the play-offs (10 matches). Despite his 33 points and 6 rebounds in Game 3, he was unable to prevent the Cavaliers’ defeat against Boston (106-93) on Saturday. The fact remains that his absence will constitute a serious handicap for his franchise, which relies heavily on him.
