Clarisse Agbegnenou secures bronze at 2024 World Judo Championships: Second medal for Team France

2024 WORLD JUDO CHAMPIONSHIPS – Clarisse Agbegnenou wins the second medal for the French team: her first world bronze medal.

In the 2nd round, Clarisse Agbegnenou (-63 kg) faced Natalia Kropska. After a first alert in the first seconds, Agbegnenou scored a waza-ari. The Frenchwoman then followed up with an ippon (mowing) to qualify for the next round.

In the fight for bronze, she faced Andreja Leski, world number 7. Another opponent to whom she had never lost with two victories in Paris and two victories in the final of the 2021 & 2023 World Championships.
