Lombardy: the City of Seveso Trophy returns

Next Saturday the Città di Seveso Tournament dedicated to lower secondary school students returns.
On the morning of Saturday 25 May, at the shooting range in via Ortles 7, the VI City of Seveso Trophy will take place, an event organized by the Asd Arcieri Bosco delle Querce with the patronage of the Municipality of Seveso.
This event is the conclusion of the work carried out by the company technicians within the lower secondary schools of the district. A project to spread archery carried out for about ten years, constant work with pre-adolescents aimed at involving younger people, a symbol of collaboration between sports clubs and local institutions.
This year the participation of the institutes has expanded to four schools: the “Don Aurelio Giussani” and “Leonardo Da Vinci” secondary schools of Seveso, the “Aldo Moro” state comprehensive schools of Varedo and “Giovanni XXIII” of Nova Milanese.
With the collaboration of the teachers it was possible to organize basic archery lessons during school hours, structured into courses lasting a couple of weeks in which the instructors dedicate two hours to each class in each complex. This is a job that lasts about two months a year to develop and then select the students who are members of the men’s, women’s and mixed teams representing each school, who will compete at the Trophy in a round-robin format, until the definition of the podium.
The winning school will be awarded the City of Seveso Trophy cup and all participants will receive a souvenir medal.
Every year the Asd Arcieri Bosco delle Querce is committed to the realization of this event, trying to involve the younger members in the management of the morning, in order to convey the passion and enthusiasm that the kids put into this discipline and keep the cooperation with local entities.
