Champions League: with its B team, Dortmund is full of confidence before the return against PSG

A demonstration ! This Saturday, Dortmund largely dominated Augsburg in front of their home crowd, at Signal Iduna Park (5-1). Without benefiting from an adjustment to their championship like PSG, exempt from a match this weekend, Edin Terzic’s men did not have to work hard to pocket the victory. The technician made ten changes compared to the starting lineup which took over the Parisians last Wednesday in the semi-final first leg of the Champions League (1-0). This Saturday, only goalkeeper Gregor Kobel started at kickoff.

Moukoko in success, Reus scorer

This turnover allowed young Youssoufa Moukoko, 19, to shine. From the 4th minute, the German international was ideally unmarked to push the ball into the back of the net after a cross from Bynoe-Gittens (1-0). After 30 minutes of play, he scored twice in an unconventional way, again thanks to an opportunistic placement.

A failed exit from Koubek, following a corner from Marco Reus, allowed him to score… abs (3-0). In the meantime, Donyell Malen had already made the break with his head (20th). The reduction of the score by Ruben Vargas could have thrown a chill (3-1, 32nd), but the stadium – where 81,365 spectators were gathered, ignited again when the veteran Marco Reus salted the score with a small dive of the law (4-1, 34th).

The intensity of the second act logically decreased, but the locals still scored an additional goal, thanks to a service on the right side from Marco Reus for Felix Nmecha (5-1, 64th).

Left to rest, the usual holders should be able to use all their resources on Tuesday at the Parc des Princes to try to qualify for the Champions League final.
