Last Saturday the Judo Kodokan Cesena 1966 sports group left with a bus full of children and parents to participate in the non-competitive event in Castel Novo Di Sotto aimed at youth categories up to 11 years old.
The Kodokan, as always the largest group in the region, did not disappoint this time either as it participated with 23 young athletes.
As soon as the scoreboards were arranged in the relevant weight and age categories, the matches began refereed by regional, national and international referees and by the masters present who, for the occasion, remained in judogi to allow the participants to compete without the fear of official as usually happens in competitive events.
Among the referees there was also the master from Cesena Vladimiro Burioli, seventh dan black belt: “The kids – was his comment – perceive victory or defeat more adequately and the competition becomes more fun”.
The Cesena team won the final classification. This last phase will then reward the champion who has attended all the judo events.
Great satisfaction therefore for the children but also for their parents who thanked the Kodokan managers for the positive experience they had and for the president of the Cesena club Raffaella Molari.
The next appointment in the busy agenda of the Kodokan Cesena is represented by the regional championship, which also in this case will take place in Castel Novo di Sotto.
