Cavaliers Dominate Celtics in Game 2 with Mitchell and Mobley Leading the Way

BOSTON – Donovan Mitchell scored 29 points, Evan Mobley provided 21 in addition to adding ten rebounds, and the Cleveland Cavaliers set the record straight on Thursday, winning 118 to 94 in Game 2 of their second round series against the Boston Celtics.

Just 48 hours after suffering a loss with a 25-point deficit, the Cavaliers took off in the second game in the third quarter. Mitchell alone scored 16 points during this period and he continued his momentum in the last quarter with three baskets, including one from a distance of 28 feet.

Jayson Tatum had 25 points and Jaylen Brown had 19 points in the loss. Derrick White, who was at the heart of the Celtics’ 120-95 victory in the first game, was limited to 10 points.

The series now moves to Cleveland for the next two clashes, with the third being played on Saturday.

Caris LeVert gave Mitchell a valuable helping hand with 21 points after starting the game on the bench.

Kristaps Porzingis missed a third consecutive game with the Celtics due to a calf injury.
