Holder of a Master’s degree in sports journalism, I fell in love with tennis since childhood and have always loved reading the great stories of this sport. Today, I want to tell them about them, take full advantage of my passion and be as close as possible to the aces of the circuit.

World number 3, Carlos Alcaraz regained his great form during the American tour, where he won Indian Wells. The Spaniard could then approach clay with much more confidence. Unfortunately he injured his arm before competing in the Masters 1000 in Monte-Carlo and only played in Madrid as preparation before Roland-Garros. With his physique still questioning, we don’t know if he will really be able to play 100% in Paris…

Will Carlos Alcaraz’s body decide to leave him alone one day? The Spaniard did not have the best preparations to start Roland-Garros but he could well succeed if he manages to stay in shape. In any case, given the tennis he is capable of producing again, he is one of the very first names on the list of favorites. Last year, the title seemed promised to him before he lost in the semi-finals…

Alcaraz cured?

Injured right forearm to hit his forehands correctly, Carlos Alcaraz has been hampered in recent weeks. The Spaniard was only able to play the tournament of Madrid where he felt pain again, forcing him to withdraw from Rome. He must therefore succeed in responding to Roland-Garros despite the circumstances and these last few days in training, he seemed to be doing much better. Hopefully this little rest will be enough for his entry into the running in a few days.

The number 1 favorite?

In this 2024 edition which seems more open than ever, Carlos Alcaraz could well be the one who emerges as number 1 favorite for the title. Indeed the Spaniard seems to be playing the best tennis and if he stays in shape, he should succeed in hitting a big shot. On clay, he impresses and it is not for nothing that he reached the semi-finals last year, despite the sad result. While he has just celebrated his 21st birthday, he could well add a third title of the Grand Slam on his record.

A confirmation tournament

Less bloody at the end of the 2023 season, Carlos Alcaraz seemed overwhelmed by those ahead of him in the standings. The Spaniard restarted the machine by winning the tournamentIndian Wells and he needs to confirm that he is indeed back at Roland-Garros. While waiting to see what picture stands before him, he should arrive in Paris very quickly in the hope of lifting the trophy. The player who won Indian Wells must resurface if he wants to send a strong message to his opponents.
