Carlos Alcaraz Reflects on his Anxiety Ahead of Roland-Garros

Although he was able to prepare normally for Roland‐Garros (May 26 to June 9) after withdrawing from Rome due to persistent discomfort in his right forearm, Carlos Alcaraz remains a little anxious about it. This is what he explained during an interview with Brand.

” I feel better. The workouts are going pretty well, without any discomfort. If I feel liberated? No, I’m still a little scared. This fear will take time to disappear. I still think about it. Every time I hit one hundred percent on the forehand side in training or in a match, I have this thought in my head. I still wear the sleeve, I practice with it and I’ll play with it, that’s for sure. Wearing it doesn’t mean my arm hurts or feels bad.”declared the world number 3 who was not varnished during the draw carried out on Thursday afternoon.
