Captain Valentino Müller will remain with WSG Tirol. The 25-year-old midfielder has extended his expiring contract with the second-to-last Bundesliga team until summer 2026, the Tyroleans announced on Friday. After the appointment of Philipp Semlic as Thomas Silberberger’s successor as coach, another important personnel matter has been resolved. Müller is fit again; this season he only played 14 competitive games due to Achilles tendon irritation.
Newly promoted GAK can still rely on the captain. 35-year-old Marco Perchtold is staying loyal to Graz for another year. For him, this is a full circle, as he was on the field in the “Reds” jersey for GAK’s last top-flight game on May 20, 2007. “In 2017, I moved to GAK in the regional league as a regular Bundesliga player to support my favorite club in its return to the Bundesliga.
