The Italian said goodbye to tennis last week, but it was not she who had announced it, but rather the presence of her name in the list of players who are not active.
Her last name was already on the list of retired players from ITIA (the International Tennis Integrity Agency, for its acronym in English). His official withdrawal from the ITIA eliminates him from all anti-doping testing protocols.
All of this could confront her with some complications because she will have to notify the treasury of her situation and would have to face a fine, something that remains to be confirmed and hence his words.
