Camila Giorgi reported back late Saturday evening with an Instagram post. The tennis player announced the end of her career and wanted to clear up “fake news”. But questions remain.

Not reachable on the cell phone, no sign of life and above all the question: Where is tennis professional Camila Giorgi? The Italian woman had been in hiding for the last few days. On Saturday evening, the 32-year-old returned with an Instagram posting. “Trust this Instagram page for true information,” Giorgi wrote before announcing her retirement.
“I am happy to announce the end of my career. I will keep all these beautiful memories to myself,” wrote Giorgi, who also works as a model. The Italian didn’t reveal what she would do in the future – but: “There have been so many untruths circulating about my future recently.”
Is she in the USA?
Despite Giorgi’s signs of life, many questions remain. Italian media speculate that she may have fled to the USA due to problems with the financial police. In July, Giorgi also has to justify herself before a court in Vicenza because she is said to have forged a corona vaccination certificate.
