World Cup titles from the important associations

After a thrilling duel and Ussyk’s strong fight comeback in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, he now holds the world titles of the important associations IBF, WBO, WBA and WBC, as well as those of the IBO. Fury had defended the WBC belt.

Fury dominated the first half of the fight. However, Ussyks came back in the eighth round and gave his opponent a bloody nose. In the ninth round, Ussyks completely turned the fight around and brought Fury to the brink of early defeat.

Both professionals went into the duel undefeated. Ussyks took his world title from Anthony Joshua in 2021 and successfully defended it in 2022. In 2015, Fury surprisingly defeated Wladimir Klitschko and became world champion. He later renounced the titles, came back in 2018 and won the WBC title against Deontay Wilder.

The duel had been postponed several times due to financial disputes between the two camps and Fury’s injuries.
