Boston Celtics Stage Epic Comeback to Take Commanding 3-0 Series Lead Over Indiana Pacers in NBA Playoffs

Although trailing by 18 points in the middle of the third quarter (84-66), Boston, the best team of the regular season, managed to gradually catch up before finishing the job in the final moments of the match.

A lay-up followed by a free throw from Jrue Holiday allowed the “C’s” to take the lead 38” from the end, Holiday making a decisive interception 3”1 from the buzzer against Andrew Nembhard. Nembhard (32 points) however advantageously replaced All Star leader Tyrese Haliburton, who was out because he was injured in the left thigh.

Boston was able to count on 36 points from Jayson Tatum (also author of 10 rebounds and 8 assists) and 24 points from Jaylen Brown to take off in the series. Al Horford signed a convincing 7/12 at 3 points, Holiday accumulating 14 points, 9 rebounds and 3 steals.

The mission now looks almost impossible for the Pacers, who host Game 4 on Monday evening in Indianapolis: no team has ever won a playoff series in the NBA after being down 3-0.
