Big wave surfer Sebastian Steudtner: The king goes researching

He already holds the world record. In October 2020, Sebastian Steudtner surfed the largest wave that a person has ever rushed down in Nazaré. 26.21 meters high. That’s pretty much the height of the Brandenburg Gate. “I understood then,” says Steudtner, “that this wave was the maximum we could get out of it. It couldn’t be higher or harder. In order to move forward, we had to improve the material and develop a new self-confidence.”
