An excellent performance was staged on Saturday 18 May at the Simone Scarpelli stadium in Grosseto. The under 18s of Big Mat Bsc won 12-5 against Fiorentina, thus continuing their successful season. “We played – comments Paolo Verrecchia, manager of the Big Mat Bsc Grosseto under 18 softball team – a good performance. Franceschelli did well on the platform as did the whole team in the offensive and defensive phases. At bat, the performances of Marianello, Innocenti, Fontana and Childers were invaluable.”
The next championship match for the under 18s will be Wednesday 22 May, again at the Scarpelli, against the Nuove panthere di Lucca.
