United States: A beekeeper becomes the hero of a baseball game

A beekeeper became the hero of an American baseball match by dislodging a swarm of bees from a stadium in Arizona, in the southwest of the United States, to the applause of the public.
The North American Baseball Championship (MLB) game between the Los Angeles Dodgers and the Arizona Diamondbacks was delayed Tuesday evening because a swarm of bees had settled on a safety net.
After nearly two hours of waiting, Matt Hilton, a local beekeeper arrived at the stadium and dislodged the swarm to the fiery rhythms of Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero.” hero”).
The beekeeper sprayed a non-lethal product on the bees and collected them in a vacuum cleaner to “release them later,” MLB described on its site.
He threw the first ball
Having become the star of the evening, the beekeeper even had the right to throw the first ball of the game to the applause of the public.
“I thought I was just there to solve a bee problem,” he joked following his intervention. “People were pretty enthusiastic.”
This is not the first time that bees have disrupted a sporting event in the United States.
In March, the quarter-final of the Indian Wells tennis tournament in California, in the west of the country, between Carlos Alcaraz and Alexander Zverev was interrupted for almost two hours due to an invasion of bees.
