BC Milan, three questions to president Caracausi

President, what feelings do you bring with you?
«A lot, a lot of joy. Also because on the eve we started as outsiders of the competition: despite this, we brought the title back to Milan after four years of absence.”

With a very young squad, among other things.
«This year the team was captained by 24-year-old Gianmarco Bailetti and coach Megumi Sonoda, made up of kids from the Milanese academy such as Emma Piccinin. Emma is 20 years old and in the team championship she achieved 21 victories out of 22 matches played between women’s singles and doubles. We also had two foreign talents in our squad: the 30-year-old Frenchman Julien Maio and the 25-year-old Spaniard Alvaro Vasquez.”

Is it difficult to practice badminton under the Madonnina?
«It is not always easy to find kids due to both the strong competition from other sports and the difficulties of promoting in neighboring schools. However, Palabadminton helps with the availability of sports facilities, because we cannot easily use other facilities. Unfortunately it doesn’t allow you to have many hours available in the afternoon slots, as they are used by the National Technical Centre”.
