Bayern Munich has presented the home kit for the 2024/25 season. It deviates from the standard and even contradicts its own motto ‘Rot & Weiß ein Leben lang’ (red and white for life), as it will wear a completely red outfit next season.
Der Rekordmeister plays in a red home kit almost every season, but there is always white in the shirt. The current uniform also contains the motto ‘Rot & Weiß ein Long Life’, but next season’s uniform does not match that motto at all, as it is only red.

The new shirt consists of three different colors of red. Vertical stripes run across the shirt, formed by very small checks. The logo of clothing supplier Adidas and the club logo contain black elements. The pants and socks are also red.
“Bayern Munich and Adidas have developed a special shirt for the new season, which connects the heartbeat and passion of the players on the field with the fans in the stadium,” the club website said.
“For the first time in the club’s history, the design contains multiple shades of red, which represent the identity, emotion and drama of the game. Red has been more than just a color for Bayern for more than a hundred years,” the club concludes on the site.
According to the club, the three shades of red are a tribute to Bayern, which was the only German club to win the Treble (Bundesliga, DFB-Pokal and Champions League). However, quite a few supporters do not agree with the club’s choice: they miss the white tones in the kit.
Bayern will wear the new home kit for the first time next Sunday. Then the current number two of Germany will play at home against VfL Wolfsburg and the supporters can see the players in the completely red outfits.
