Real Madrid advanced to the 2023/2024 Champions League final after beating Bayern Munich. Los Blancos won with a score of 2-1 in the second leg of the semifinals, Thursday (9/5/2024) early morning WIB.
Competing at the Santiago Bernabeu, Bayern Munich took the lead through Alphonso Davies’ goal. However, Los Blancos were able to turn things around through Joselu’s brace.
The Bayern Munich camp felt disadvantaged by a number of refereeing decisions. Thomas Tuchel highlighted Matthijs de Ligt’s goal in the final minute which the referee disallowed because it was considered offside without involving VAR.

Real Madrid is actually also at a disadvantage. Their goal in the 73rd minute was disallowed because a VAR review showed that Nacho had committed a foul on Joshua Kimmich
Carlo Ancelotti also responded to Bayern Munich’s protest. The Italian coach said the decision taken by the referee was correct.
“The last step is pretty self-explanatory. “It may not have been offside but the linesman raised his flag, the referee blew his whistle and we stopped,” Ancelotti said on the club’s official website.
“If they complain about it, we’ll talk about the goal we disallowed. Kimmich diving, they both pushed each other. He’s a top-class referee who officiated in a World Cup final.”
