The ASD Tropheum athlete third at the Kumite regionals in Acre
Master La Torre is satisfied with his student’s result
The young Lorenzo Pontoriero ranked on the third step of the podium at the regional qualifying stages of the Kumite championship organized by the regional committee of the Italian Judo Wrestling Karate and Martial Arts Federation (FIJLKAM), held at the Palasport of Acri.
The ASD Tropheum athlete, accompanied by his teacher Antonio La Torre, therefore obtained a pass for the prestigious federal national finals, which will be held at the Pala Pellicone in Ostia Lido.
The competition in which Lorenzo took part was that of the men’s -58kg karate beginners category.
Now waiting for the young athlete there will be a tough preparation to try to do well at the national stages.
Great satisfaction from La Torre, who for the umpteenth time – after the success among the cadets of another Tropheum athlete – brings a rookie to compete at the highest national levels. The red dragon’s team continues to place champions in the various competitions in which it participates, giving prestige to the Costa degli Dei area, and this is no small thing for a karate club that operates in such a limited catchment area. Thanks to a thirty-year tradition and a lot of passion and experience.
