The coaching staff had a list of 17 players who will gather starting June 2 at CeNARD. The AmeriCup U18 will be played from June 17 to 23 in Bucaramanga, Colombia.
Starting on June 2, the U18 Women’s National Pre-selection will meet at the CeNARD facilities to begin their sports preparation for the category’s AmeriCup, a competition that will be organized by the Colombian city of Bucaramanga. The tournament delivers four places to the 2025 U19 World Cup.
The list is made up of Ema Baldo, Juana Barrionuevo, Julia Bosque, Isabella Boullón, Alma Bourgarel, Miranda Canales, Sol Depetris, Isabella Ingenito, Nerea Lagowski, Rocío Leta, Malena Maggi, Milagros Morell, Sofía Novoa, Virginia Peralta, Alessia Reale, Stephanie Smidt Falter and Fiamma Solis. Within this list of names, the 12 bronze medalists from the last South American U17 are repeated, also with Bucaramanga as the venue for the games.
The concentration will be headed by Mauricio Santangelo, coach responsible for the historic performance of the National Team at the Santiago 2023 Pan American Games with a third place.
The championship will be played from June 17 to 23, with Argentina forming part of Group A along with Canada, the Dominican Republic and Colombia as the host country. By default, the teams from Mexico, the United States, Brazil and Puerto Rico were in the other zone.
The eight participants will be grouped into two groups of four. After a regular phase of three games with a round-robin system, the teams will automatically advance to the quarterfinals according to the positions obtained in the previous instance. The winners of each key will qualify from round to round until completing the finals table, a definition scheduled for the last day of the competition.
