The Aragonese Andrés Temiño has beaten the record of Spain in the mode of mixed recurve bow next to Elia Canales. The Spanish team has achieved a fourth place in the qualifying phase of the European championship which is celebrated in Essen (Germany). Temiño and Canales have signed a registry of 1351 points in 2x70m. (144 arrows), surpassing the previous record of Manuel Alvariño and Elia Canales herself, which was located at 1345 points.

The Spaniards have started the continental event on the right foot, thanks to fourth place which sends them directly to the round of 16, a tie they will play this Friday. Besides, Temiño has also achieved a fourth place in the individual competition -the best national result, with 686 points- which allows them to directly access the round of 32, to be played this Friday.

I fear will fight to obtain a pass to the recurve bow finals -which will be held both individually and mixed this Sunday- and to be able to choose the medals as I did just a week ago in the Shanghai World Cup. There he managed to hang two metals: the gold in the individual tournament and the silver in the mixed competition next to Canales. At 20 years old, the Aragonese already knows what it is win the European Championship in the junior category and continues to establish itself as one of the strongest values of Spanish archery, steps that could lead it to the Paris Olympic Games.
