Amateur from Hercules makes absolute dream transfer to Borussia Dortmund

Jordi Paulina will transfer from USV Hercules to Borussia Dortmund, the German top club confirms. The nineteen-year-old midfielder will initially work for the Under 23 of the Champions League finalist.
Paulina experiences a stunt season with Hercules, in which history was written by being the first amateur team ever to win against Ajax in the TOTO KNVB Cup. Paulina played that entire match in Galgenwaard Stadium and provided an assist for star Tim Pieters.
A month later, Paulina was also present when Hercules came close to another stunt against SC Cambuur. The team from the Third Division ultimately lost the blood-curdling eighth-final match 3-4 after extra time.
As an attacking midfielder, Paulina scored 9 goals in 26 games this season. The youngster is in his third season for Hercules. He previously played in the youth ranks for VV Jonathan and FC Utrecht.
Paulina is under contract with Dortmund as of July 1. The talent joins the promising team, for which fellow countryman and former Ajax player Prince Aning also plays.
