Allegri’s rampage in the Italian Cup may have an end, Juventus is considering his dismissal

According to the media, Juventus is considering the immediate dismissal of coach Massimiliano Allegri. The reason is the coach’s spree after winning the Italian Cup, in which the Turin side beat Bergamo 1-0 in the final on Wednesday.

Fifty-six-year-old Allegri received a red card in the setup after an argument with the fourth referee, angrily tore off his tie and left the bench. In the bowels of the stadium, he then cursed the editor-in-chief of Tuttosport Guido Vaciago and also threatened him.

Vaciago said a day later on the newspaper’s website that Allegri shoved him and then put his finger under his nose and said: “I know where I’ll find you. I know where to wait for you. I’ll come and rip both of your ears off. I’ll come and punch you in the faces.” The coach had to be led away by the speaker and another official.

Allegri has already received a two-game suspension and a fine of 5,000 euros (about 124,000 crowns) for the expulsion. According to speculation, if he is recalled for the last two games of the season, he would be replaced by the current Juventus under-19 coach and former Uruguay international Paolo Montero.
