The Al-Qadisiya Sports Club (نادي القادسية الرياضيin Arabic), is a professional basketball club based in the city of Al Kuwait in Kuwait, part of the Al-Qadisiya Sports Club. The team competes in the top national category , the Kuwaiti Division I Basketball League[1].
The team colors are yellow and black; home matches are played at the Shaikh Saad Alabdullah Sport Hall Complex in Al Kuwait, a facility that can accommodate up to 5,000 spectators.
The team is part of the Al-Qadisiya Sports Club multi-sports club which was founded in 1960 in the Kuwaiti capital of Al Kuwait. The club took part since its first season in the Kuwaiti Division I Basketball League, which it won for the first time in the 1966-1967 season; Al-Qadsia is the club that has won the Kuwaiti Division I Basketball League the most times, 23 times; Furthermore, it has also won the Kuwaiti Federation Cup 25 times. The great success achieved over the years has made Qadsia the most successful club in Kuwait.
The last national title came at the end of the 2015-2016 season of the Kuwaiti Division I Basketball League, with the team dominating the season, finishing in first place in the standings, with 29 victories and only one defeat; the victory allowed the team to maintain the title it had won the previous year, and to obtain the twenty-third victory of the national championship[2].
Outside the national borders of Kuwait, Qadsia has won the Gulf Champions Cup on four occasions: the first two titles came consecutively in 1982 and 1983; while the other two victories came in the 2006 and 2009 editions.
