Last Saturday Alex Sambucci hit Farma’s first home run of the season in Serie A, but this afternoon, Crocetta baseball-softball is preparing to hit a much more important home run, that of solidarity. “A home run for Oncology in Parma” is the slogan created by the association “The Angels Val Parma”, in collaboration with the San Pancrazio club, for the initiative scheduled for the Serie A baseball matches between Farma and Cagliari and the A2 softball series between Dalmine Crocetta and Collecchio, which includes a fundraiser to support the oncology clinic of the Langhirano health center, through the sale of artefacts made by the volunteers of the non-profit organization.
The Angels Val Parma association has been active for years in the Val Parma area and their activity consists of creating artefacts, recovering objects donated by the population. Various initiatives have been carried out in recent years in favor of oncology in Parma, to which he has already donated over sixty thousand euros, used for research clinics and the setting up of day hospital and inpatient rooms. “In the heart of Parma two different realities merge with a noble common objective – explained the president of The Angels Val Parma Susy Pasini – The strength of the hitter merges with the sweetness of the help, creating a unique bond of its kind. Together, by setting up a stall for the sale of our products, we wish to help cancer patients by supporting the oncology clinic of the Langhirano health center. Our association, through charity events and motivational meetings, supports patients in their battle, offering not only physical care but also moral support.”
At the entrance to the Stuard fields, from 1.00 pm to 6.00 pm there will be the association’s banquet, where the artefacts can be purchased, the proceeds of which will be donated to the clinic of the Langhirano health center.
