A former NBA champion, sentenced to 40 months in prison for defrauding the League’s medical services

Glen Davis, former player for the Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers and Orlando Magic, has received a 40-month prison sentence after his participation in a $5 million fraud against the NBA’s health and wellness plan was proven.

The nicknamed ‘Big Baby’ due to his large physique and composure, weighing 131 kilos and 2.06 meters tall, was charged after receiving more than $27,000 for a dental service in Beverly Hills. However, the former NBA champion with the Boston Celtics in 2008 took a trip with the funds granted “between Las Vegas and Paris,” according to prosecutors.

This would not be his only problem with justice throughout his life. Years ago, in 2018, he was arrested for drug possession and trafficking after 126 grams of marijuana was found along with $92,000 in a hotel in Maryland, United States.
