Forced to retire on May 3 in the semi‐finals of the Masters 1000 in Madrid against Félix Auger‐Aliassime, Jiri Lehecka was racing against time to arrive ready at Roland‐Garros (from May 26 to June 9).
Still not recovered, the 23rd player in the world has just announced his withdrawal from the Paris Grand Slam. A big blow for the Czech, who defeated Rafael Nadal in the Spanish capital, as well as for the tournament which lost its first seed.
