Burgundy champions, Océane CHATRY (T ASSP), Louana COMMEAU (1 ASSP), Jade DE SOUSA (1ASSP) and finally Noélyne ROLAND (1 ASSP) from LP Claudie Haigneré represented the academy at the French UNSS badminton championship on Monday 13 May to Wednesday May 15 at Pont du Château (Clermont FERRAND Academy).

The girls finished in 14th place, they really did well against formidable opponents and some of them playing badminton in a club.

They lost in group matches against the Campus du Végétal high school of the Académie de LIMOGES 60 to 28 then 60 to 44 against the agricultural and forestry high school of Mirecourt of the Académie de NANCY – METZ.

Then, the score becomes tighter 60 to 50 against the LP Marc Godrie de Loudun of the POITIERS academy but they do not manage to win just like against the international hotel LP of Lille where they lead the score but finally capitulate 60 to 45.

Congratulations to them for this magnificent journey because these students only practice the activity one hour per week as part of the Sports Association.

They come back from these French championships with magnificent memories since we attended the girls and open finals (boys or mixed teams) which were beautiful with a spectacular level of play.

At the end of the finals, a very beautiful ceremony began with the entry of all the organizers then the young coaches and finally the young referees to be able to welcome all the finalists of this competition and thus proceed to the presentation of the medals and to go up on the podium.

National diplomas were awarded to the young coaches and referees and we are very proud because Océane CHATRY obtained her diploma as a young national coach.

She really deserved it because she was really involved in the training. A big congratulations to her.
