The Argentine tennis player Horacio Zeballos and the Spanish Marcel Ganollers beat the American Ben Shelton and the Kazakh Alexandre Bublik by a double 6-4 and reached the final of the Rome Masters 1000.

After being left in the semi-finals in Madrid due to the injury of the player from Mar del Plata, the duo obtained an authoritative victory against a somewhat atypical couple, made up of two usually individual players, but who performed exceedingly well at the Foro Italico.

Without giving up a single serve and with a break on each serve, Zeballos and Ganollers sealed their pass to the grand final, in which they will face the Salvadoran Marcelo Arévalo and the Croatian Mate Pavic.

Whatever happens in the title match, Roland Garros will be their first Grand Slam as number 1.

Iga Swiatek, champion at the WTA 1000 in Rome for the third time

The Polish tennis player Iga Swiatek won the WTA 1000 in Rome this Saturday for the third time after winning with authority over the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in two sets, 6-2 and 6-3.

Swiatek, who already won the 2021 and 2022 editions, dispelled any doubt about who is the best tennis player on the circuit by defeating Sabalenka again (2) after what happened in the Madrid tournament.

“If I win again I hope there is tiramisu inside (the trophy), although today I will eat a lot,” he joked.
