Bundesliga champion Bayer Leverkusen became the first team to complete a league season without losing.

With goals from Victor Boniface and Robert Andrich, Leverkusen beat Augsburg 2-1 on the final weekend of the campaign.

Xabi Alonso’s men thus extend their impressive streak of matches played without losing this season to 51, taking into account all competitions.

They have two Finals ahead of them this month: on Wednesday the 22nd in Dublin against Atalanta in the Europa League; and on Saturday the 25th in Berlin against Kaiserlautern (Second Division) in the German Cup.
