Zverev Falls short of Third Doubles Title as Monte Carlo Run Ends

Zverev has to wait for his third tournament victory in doubles. He won the titles in Montpellier 2017 and Acapulco 2019 with his older brother Mischa.

In the individual competition in Monte Carlo he failed in the round of 16 against the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.

In the doubles final, Zverev and Melo laid the foundation for winning the first set with a break to 6:5. In the second round they were behind from the start, and things quickly looked bad for the German and his experienced partner in the match tiebreak.
