Lukas Neumayer lost to Zsombor Piros (HUN/ATP-114th) in the round of 16 of the ATP Challenger in Split, Croatia, 3:6, 2:6.
The defending champions were a size too big for the 21-year-old throughout the game. Right at the start of set one, Piros pulls away with a 3-0 lead, after which Neumayer holds his serve, but he can’t break his opponent – Piros wins the first set 6-3.
In the second half of the game the matter is even clearer. This time the Hungarian soon leads 4-0, after which Neumayer’s service games are no longer of any use. Piros is clearly superior and wins set two 6:2.
For the Salzburger, Croatia is the last stop.
