Young referees, prostitutes and resignations: scandal at the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Football League

A funny trip, right in the heart of a seminar. Last March, David Wailliez, regional technical advisor of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Football League (LFNA) allegedly took advantage of a work meeting in the Landes to cross the Spanish border and visit a brothel. All accompanied by five mission managers, as reported Free Charente this Thursday.

Among these young men, three realized upon arrival at a bar in Lezo, near San Sebastian, that the establishment offered the services of prostitutes. In a League report, it is noted that David Wailliez would have benefited from these services. “Three project managers claim to have seen David Wailliez interacting with one of the prostitutes in the bar, and to have gone into one of the rooms to which access is not open to free movement. »

“There was a mattress and a shower”

Four of the five referees present finally left the bar. But the next day, David Wailliez would not have stopped there. The man would have shared his experience: “In the end, 40 euros is not that expensive. There was a mattress and a shower. » He would also have suggested several times to return to Spain.

Worse still, the regional technical advisor would have submitted an offer to all of his colleagues: “Eleven project managers also heard on numerous occasions and insistently David Wailliez offering a pot to pay a prostitute to one of the managers mission so that he can have his first sexual experience, going so far as to specify: we give 3 euros each and that’s good.

Since then, David Wailliez has been removed from running the seminar. A sanction considered too weak by many people. To protest against his behavior, 22 project managers decided to resign on April 3.
