Young French Badminton Player Eloi Adam Shows Promise in European Quarter-Finals, Huet Exits Competition

For the first European quarter-final of his young career, Eloi Adam (BC Chambly-Oise) did not go far from a great performance in the men’s doubles with the Northerner Léo Rossi (n°83). The Camblysian (25 years old) lost to the English Ben Lane and Sean Vendy (n°20), not without putting up a good resistance (21-19, 21-18). Léonice Huet (n°70) also left the competition. In the quarter-finals of the women’s singles, the BCCO French champion was defeated (21-18, 21-15) by the six-time European champion, the Spaniard Carolina Marin (n°5). This defeat could compromise his qualification for the Paris Olympics.
