A young engaged couple was attacked with a baseball bat in Marsala. The victims of the incident were a 16-year-old boy from Castelvetrano and a 14-year-old girl from Marsala. The sixteen-year-old, after reaching his girlfriend in Marsala aboard his mini car, headed towards Piazza Pizzo where the two had an appointment with a friend in front of a well-known club in the area. After some time the boys, who were still inside the vehicle, saw two young people of around 16 years of age approaching with a baseball bat in their hands.
They started hitting the car, damaging its windows and bodywork and then violently lashed out at the 16-year-old and his girlfriend. Luckily the third girl managed to escape and call for help. The police intervened immediately and prevented the worst. The attackers have already been identified. The two engaged couples were transported to the Paolo Borsellino hospital in Marsala due to their injuries. The young man suffered a head injury and a prognosis of 20 days and the girl suffered a leg injury and received a prognosis of 10 days.
