Rostren’s Xuefei QI was eliminated on Thursday April 11 in Saarbrück in the round of 16 of the European Championship by Scotland’s Kirsty Gilmour 21-19, 21-16 at the end of a match which lasted 46 minutes.

The French number one (56th in the world) opened the day at 9 a.m. in the Saarlandhalle against a better ranked opponent (No. 26) but whom she had beaten on February 29 during the Yonex German Open in three hard-fought sets 19 -21, 22-20, 23-21.

Xuefei QI is still chasing her ticket to participate in the Paris 2024 Olympics.
