With LeBron and Curry at the helm, the United States announced its Dream Team to fill Paris 2024 with magic

LeBron James, Stephen Curry y Kevin Durant will lead the almighty United States men’s basketball team for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. After a list with eleven of the twelve players who will be part of the Stars and Stripes team for the Olympic event was leaked in the media, this Wednesday it was made official.

Thus, in addition to LeBron (Los Angeles Lakers), Curry (Golden State Warriors) and Durant (Phoenix Suns) they will also be in the French capital Anthony Davis (Lakers), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia 76ers), Devin Booker (Suns), Anthony Edwards (Minnesota Timberwolves), Jayson Tatum (Boston Celtics), Jrue Holiday (Celtics), Bam Adebayo (Miami Heat) y Tyrese Haliburton (Indiana Pacers).

The latest to join this impressive roster is Kawhi Leonardof the Los Angeles Clippers, who ended up prevailing against other superstars who were looking for a place: Paul George (Clippers), Paolo Banchero (Orlando Magic), Mikal Bridges (Brooklyn Nets) and Jalen Brunson (New York Knicks).

Durant is, along with Carmelo Anthony, the only player to have won three Olympic golds. On the other hand, it will be the first time for Curry in a Games.

For his part, LeBron took the bronze in 2004, when he lost to the Argentine National Team in Athens, and then recovered by winning gold in 2008 and 2012, but without attending the 2016 and 2020 events.

Since the ‘Dream Team’ of 1992, the USA has won gold in all the Olympic Games, including the 2008 one with the ‘Redeem Team’, except in the aforementioned event in the Greek capital, when hand in hand of Manu Ginobili and the Golden Generation, the national team made history in sports.

For the United States, it will also be the opportunity to take revenge for what was a failure in the 2023 World Cup, when it was placed in fourth position.
