The Girondins manager looks back on his team’s elimination this Saturday against Harlequins in the quarter-finals.
Yannick Bru (manager of Bordeaux-Bègles, eliminated by Harlequins ) : “It comes down to certain small mistakes that champions don’t make. We had the mindset to come back but we also made a lot of mistakes. During the first 15 minutes, we lost a lot of collisions, we missed our throws, we dropped passes, we lacked precision.
The melee cost us five penalties. These accumulated errors required a lot of energy to get back into the game and we die at a conversion. Our second half is much more consistent. But in the end we took a try on an 80-meter counter-attack, which is unacceptable.”
