Perugia defeated Milan 3-1 (18-25; 26-24; 25-20; 25-18) in game 4 and qualified for the championship final of men’s volleyball. The Block Devils won at the Allianz Cloud and thus managed to close the series 3-1, earning themselves the chance to fight for the tricolor against the winner of Monza-Trentino (it will be decided in the play-off).
After the defeat suffered four days ago at home, the Umbrian battleship was able to raise its head on the road, among other things, recovering after losing the first set and finding themselves down 23-24 in the second half. Perugia will be looking for the second title in history after the one won in 2018 and after the three consecutive finals lost against Civitanova between 2019 and 2022 (without forgetting the defeat against Lube in 2014 and against Modena in 2016).

Ishikawa’s attack doubles Milan (10-5) and then persists in the action, curbing the ambitions of Plotnytskyi and his teammates (14-8). Ben Tara and Plotnytskyi try to do something, but there is little they can do against Ishikawa, Mergarejo and their teammates, who manage the advantage and win the partial.
Second set in perfect balance until 6-6, then Ishikawa’s lob and Porro’s ace for the hosts’ +2 (8-6). Milan makes a couple of errors, then Semeniuk and Ben Tara give Perugia the lead for the first time in the match (8-10). Ishikawa equalizes at 10 with an ace, then Kaziyski takes care of overtaking (14-13 and 15-14). Close fight point by point until 23-23, when Kaziyski scores the ace which gives Milan a set-point. Plotnytskyi cancels it, then scores an ace (25-26) and Ben Tara closes the score.
Third set balanced until 11-11, then diagonal by Plotnytskyi and error by Regger. Ben Tara finds his hands blocking, Ishikawa and Reggers makes a mistake (16-11). Perugia manages, Giannelli hits the 21-16 wall and celebrates Milan’s service error. In the fourth set, at 13-13, Semeniuk’s three consecutive winners made the difference (13-16). Russo gets excited (21-14), controlled final and Milan’s error sends Perugia to the final.
